The Wedding Highlights of 2018

2018 in review…

The last time I looked back on a year of weddings, I set myself the resolution that in 2018 I would share a lot more about my personal life on Instagram - to keep it from turning into a perfectly planned feed of wedding photos and cheesy captions. After all, this isn’t a job I clock in and out of - my work as a wedding photographer is so closely intertwined with who I am as a person and I wanted what I share to reflect that.
I think that one of the most important things when hiring a wedding photographer is to like their personality and presence as much as their photos.

I've often thought about who my "ideal client" is. You hear it in all the Facebook groups and throughout the wedding industry. This demographic, that interest, shops here, and so on. The amount of online courses on how to "find" it are endless. The reality is, I couldn't possibly dream of ever pidgeon-holing the amazing couples I've had the privilege of working with this last year.

My ideal clients have been the 30 couples I worked with last year, because they all took a genuine interest in my work and approach and entrusted me with a task as big as making those memories timeless. From DIY to lavish decorations, registry offices to seaside villas, 15 to 200 guests, and London to Puerto Rico, I had the privilege of photographing such unique and diverse weddings last year. And I'm so grateful for that.

I couldn’t have asked for a better 2018. I’m surround by family and friends I love dearly, and travelled to places like Singapore, Cambodia and Indonesia - thanks to a three-month assignment Eleanor got which took us to Asia! I had the privilege of photographing 30 weddings and I delivered 19,465 images to the couples I worked with. I’m always so incredibly grateful that I get to do this for a living!

I took the time to look through those 19,465 photos and picked my favourites.

Here are the 55 that stood out the most to me.
